+1. Ian is a well-known and longstanding member of the GIS community. Ian co-founded GeoTools in 1996 and is a current member of the GeoTools PMC. Ian was the release manager for three GeoServer releases last year. Thanks, Ian for agreeing to accept this nomination!

Ian has been very active on stack exchange and speaking on behalf of our community at foss4g events. I think we are a bit spoiled as Ian can act a bit as both a dev representative and a user representative.

(That said I am still waiting on contrast enhancements docs)
