[Geoserver-devel] GeoServer release blocked on CITE test failures

Just a reminder that the GeoServer 2.0.2 release is blocked on CITE test failures. Some are fixed. Some remain. For example:
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3970

I am assuming that it is not the responsibility of the release manager to fix all CITE failures before release? Please say it ain't so.

Normally it's not, but at the same time it's not realistic to think
other developers will have time to fix them right away.

All the issues that CITE found are somewhat related to XML schema
/GML management so whoever is proficient with that portion of the
code with that is invited to help out and provide patches.

Hopefully, with CITE suites running all nights, this is the last time
we're stuck in this situation

Cheers

Indeed. I think taking a week or two for key developers to become available to fix CITE bugs is quite acceptable and much preferable to making a non-CITE-compliant release. This release we have been spoiled by the quick support!

Yes, this is a massive improvement. This is a switch from pre-release testing to Continuous Integration [*angelic music*]. Huge credit to Justin!
