[Geoserver-devel] GeoServer REST API features

Hi

We are using GeoServer REST API with a custom application and identified some features that should be nice to have in REST API:

  • Ability to upload ttf fonts and query the avalaible ttf fonts in GeoServer.
  • Ability to upload image symbols and query the avalaible image symbols.
  • Upload shapefiles to a ‘directory-of-shapes’ datastore instead of individual ‘file-datastore’ per shapefile.

Should be nice to know if someone is doing work for these topics or plan to be done in near future, to contribute in the development.

Also, is possible to open these topics as feature requests in Jira?

You are welcome to open a Jira to request this feature; to increase the chance of it being included supply a patch as part of the request.
