We are wanting to talk up the virtues of Geoserver and it's WCS capability, and I'd like to claim that Geoserver is the OGC reference implementation for WCS, as per:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/Welcome
and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_Coverage_Service
However, this conflicts with the OGC cite here:
http://cite.opengeospatial.org/reference
which notes that Deegree is the reference implementation for Web Coverage Service 1.0.0
Is the Geoserver home page claiming more credit than it should?

DeeGree is the reference implementation for WCS 1.0
GeoServer is the reference implementation for WCS 1.1

Oh, I fixed the wikipedia page as well, GeoServer is no WCS client
(cannot do WCS cascading).
Cheers
