If you want I'd be ok with moving it to your location.
The versions for releases sound like a good idea - it'd be nice to
actually extend that to the rest of the documentation - so http://geoserver.sf.net/documentation would just be a link to http://geoserver.sf.net/1.2.0/documentation (or something to that effect),
so people using past versions of geoserver could still find their
documentation online (though it's a minor point, since the docs are
included with each release, but it'd be nice).
