Hi,

I am working my way through the tutorial "Working With The Catalog" at:

http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Working+With+The+Catalog

This document refers to a class, GeoServerCatalog, that is absent from the GeoServer javadocs at:

http://geoserver.codehaus.org/javadocs/apidocs/

Are these the javadocs for the 1.7.x branch? Has GeoServerCatalog been eliminated?

I found the 1.7.x javadoc. Looks like Catalog has replaced GeoServerCatalog.

Correct, it's a fairly recent change: http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GSIP+8+-+New+Configuration+System

Please note that the core modules still use the old system and that the new one has not been extensively tested, so there are likely to be a few bugs here and there.
