[Geoserver-devel] GeoStyler community module now served via dedicated repository

Hi all,
I’ve read with interest the GeoStyler code sprint progress report here:
https://geostyler.org/codesprint-2022/

Among the other things, this caught my attention from the P.O.V. of module management:

“the extension will now be served under the dedicated repository geostyler-geoserver-plugin.”

The community module contents have not been updated since Feb 27th 2021 (other commits are repo wide changes), from the message above it seems to have been abandoned.

Should it be removed, and the documentation updated so that it just links to the new repository?

Hi Andrea,

with moving the GeoStyler extension to a dedicated repository, it will be easier for us to keep it up-to-date.

So yes, the source code for the extension can be removed from the geoserver repo and links should be updated. Daniel (@dnlkoch) will provide a PR for this.

PS: The GeoStyler Code Sprint was a lot of fun and the new layout that was implemented there will be integrated into the GeoStyler extension, as soon as it is production ready.
