[Geoserver-devel] [Geotools-devel] GeoTools RC status?

Hi Andrea:

I was going to make a release (hopefully at the end of the week) after
the dependency audit is finished - and then build my foss4g tutorial
around it. I expect to iron out a few difficulties during writing; and
would like to make a release candidate when I am done.

So how does one more milestone release (or beta release if you like)
and then a RC in September?

Humm.... GS 2.0 final by GS procedures will need a GT2 final as well.
I guess this is not possible unless we either:
- break up the release agreement we have with GT2 and just go back
tagging GT2 instead of releasing it when doing GS releases
- delay GS 2.0 release ever further, as that means having a final
GS 2.0 in October I guess. Not sure that is acceptable,
we're already quite a bit late, however, I'm cc'ing GS devel.

Since the two project has this agreement of keeping releases in synch
we need to decide what to do with it.

Cheers
Andrea

Well dependency stuff we be settled over the next day or so; I am happy to write course materials from a RC if you would like
me to release such this Friday.

I would like to issue a second RC (or a final release) in September as I do expect to have some feedback for Michael's work.
