GeoServer PSC refresh (vote on two user representatives)
Two candidates:
- Phil Scadden
- Christian Maul
- Would be nice: Jukka Rahkonen
Ideal candidate:
* active on the user mailing list
* reports issues
* writes documentation
* helps people submit appropriate bug reports
* participates with feedback to the devel mailing
* is "present" in public
Action items:
* contact Jukka (Andrea)
* update list of members in the docs (Ben)
* prepare for a vote on the devel mailing list?
CSW here we come
CSW module is going to get there
Not a GeoNetwork replacement
Use cases:
- cascading style, front end that speaks the protocol and can be adapted on to a proprietary backend
- make geoserver catalog visible via CSW (should help GeoNetwork harvest)
- internal xml format playing the same role as property datastore as a reference point for cite complience
There are Record, RecordType, RecordSchema in GeoTools, have a look
Lack of funding for a GeoTools client library, anyone?
Action items:
- advertise on the ml (Andrea)
- Work on it (Andrea)
GeoTools 8.1
Fine, or we could call 8.0.1 (if it is only bug fixes)
Stick with the program 8.1 it is.
Next release/RC?
GeoServer 2.2-RC3/GeoTools 8.1
Two weeks are over, time to do it
Andrea can do it on Saturday
Can someone else from the community help? Yes .. volunteers?
Action items:
- Andrea does the release on Saturday unless someone else pops up.
OSGeo board meeting summary
Real quick discussion on licensing.
- developer can relicense his own work without asking
- if OSGeo wants to relicense GeoTools they do have to ask the GT PMC
Wicket upgrade
Upgrade to 1.5.7: difficult, but possible, lots of manual testing needed
We might want to delay the upgrade to 1.6 though
Any plan for fixes on IE? Seems not. http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3307
Next meeting: Monday 3 September 2012, 13:00 UTC
