Build infrastructure
--------------------

Trying to change over master, was stuck on credentials.

Got it sorted now, master is switching over geotools -> geowebcache -> geoserver.

When that works we will change DNS setting over.

Andrea and Ben have been sent admin credentials, any other PSC members need access please ask.

Thanks to Dave Kesley, Devon Tucker for fixing.

FOSS4G report
-------------

Anything else to say? Andrea did not get to see any presentations (ha ha).

Presentations going online today (incase you did not see anything).

Videos? not yet soon.

GeoSolutions did a blog post, boundless should do one shortly, may wish to link to them from the "about geoserver" section of the release notes.

Release Update
--------------

The build servers have been on fire, Jody has not anounced GeoTools yet (or sent emails).

Help writing/review - link to feature blog posts etc... this was "due" September 30th. Ben to write GML client library blog post.

Q: GeoServer 2.7.3 last month? Not yet ..

Q: 2.7.3 will go out this month (and then we can do security announcement).

Simone may still be volunteering? May still be in conjunction GeoNode

Due to repo change this release may be more exciting then usual.

GeoWebCache automation? Great speed up but release is still manual (not on ares).

Perpendicular offset
--------------------

Every two years this is a feature request

Andrea working on it, will master. Is it suitable for backporting? Both SLD parsers already supporting it so maybe.

Q: JTS 1.14 is released to maven? Should we update master? Martin is directly releasing to maven now!

Java 8 switch?
--------------

Yes please, ares is "ready"? Check with kevin.

Master is available lets go! After build issue is fixed...

More autoclosable
- Store, grid Readers, FeatureIterators
- Proposal add close() method implementation to interfaces to calls to dispose()

https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/IandI/defaultmethods.html

This sounds great! Do you need or want a proposal?

Streams/Closures:
- kevin is all happy about it
- do a pass to mark thse as functional, and default methods to line up with formal functional interfaces
- make proposal to list the interfaces to hit? Kevin is happy to take a run at it...

GeoServer wicket/closures?
- can we use this approach to cut down on boilerplate of inner classes
- example: https://github.com/rodrigouchoa/wicket-lambda and https://github.com/todvora/wicket-lambdamodel

Code Sprint Planning
--------------------

Do we want to try and join fossdem, need answer by friday.

Victoria or fossdem, cheaper to fly to victoria? okay.

Kind of depends on fundraising, goal is two people.

Jody will run the numbers and report to geoserver-devel, if we do not get an answer by Friday that is our answer.

Pull Request Roundup
--------------------

https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/551 Legend Graphics
- andrea reviewed 1.5 years ago, torben fixed the wicket feedback
- can we merge now? need rebase/merge ... wait for build server to work.

https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1248

kevin has some UI updates coming on checkbox UI fixes.

CITE tests please
-----------------

When ares works again, cite is next on our list (sad).
