GeoServer/GeoTools meeting March 4th 2013

Thanks to Justin and Mauro for making the releases.

Tomcat 7 throws a validation failure on servlet jar (this is expected).

So what is next? http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GeoTools+and+GeoServer+release+schedule

RC2 was supposed to be March 6, but RC1 was released only one week ago so… let’s wait another week

Anything special for testing? Not really - download and give it a kick…

Q: Want to make it 2.3.0?
A: The above bug reports are not critical, so we could do it?
Good bug reports from beta1, but now given the low participation in bug reporting and bug fixing, why not?

Testing volunteers:

  • Jukka: test on windows and tomcat and Oracle
  • Jody: test on mac against udig test script
  • security - we need a volunteer

When I last checked there was two implementaitons shaping up?

  • GeoCent: has been working for a year, but no pull request yet. Any update?
  • GeoSolutions: focused on nD on github but not ready yet. Will start to hit GeoTools in the next month. Required for WCS2.0 Earth Obseration Profile

Need to work on communication with GeoCent (story of a patch for legend graphic arrived without test etc…).
