Using my spare time to see if I can setup a annotated support for OGC API services (Spring MVC like) without having to break
the rest of GeoServer in the process. So far it’s just on paper, I hope to try out something next weekend, but it’s
not very likely, as my daughter has to go through a bunch of school exams these two weeks.
Given I’ll be there with my under-powered Windows notebook I’ll probably try to participate with the most
effective way, which is, taking part to as many meetings as possible, coding as little as possible.

It was failing on the previous Jenkins instance, and I’m pretty sure it had been failing for quite a while with no one caring. Looking at the history of the job on the mailing list, it was consistently failing around May 2018, until someone disabled the job. I don’t know if it ever got restored after that - I don’t see any “Build is back to normal” mails after the last failure, so I don’t think it did…
We don’t have Oracle or SQL Server set up against the new one yet (and the old logs aren’t readily available). If no one cares enough about those extensions to fix the failing builds after a year, I’m not sure how worthwhile it is to actually spin up Oracle and SQL Server instances to test against.

as said I’ve been running the Oracle test suite this week while I was fixing the issue with the prepared statements dialects and
got a single failure, which could easily be marked as ignore. Is one failing test that can be ignored ground for for not setting
up the build again?
The SQL server one I have not run in ages, tried quickly but could not get remote connections running (tried several guides,
still not working, not sure where the issue is). May try again later down the road, I’m going through a couple of difficult
weeks right now.

If people are actually going to pay attention to the tests and disably/fix them where applicable, then yes, it seems perfectly reasonable to try and get them running.
My point was - last time they broke, around a year ago, no one seemed to care enough to do so, and no one tried fixing them in the intervening time either. So if thats just going to happen again, then an Oracle instance isn’t that useful.

Yes, as long as there is actually interest in the test, then I can look into getting it set up.I can’t give any useful timeline for when the oracle test will be up and running, as acquiring an oracle instance is going to be a bit more annoying than PostGIS (and getting the windows build box up is probably higher priority).
