[Geoserver-devel] GeoWebCache release for GeoServer 2.7.3

Hi,
I’m in the process of cutting the 2.7.3 release (due tomorrow), as usual
there is a need for a GeoWebCache release.

I though a release script was in the work, but I don’t see a corresponding
build on Ares, so I guess it’s not there yet.

So I guess we have to follow manually the release guide again right?

I've verified that 13.3 builds on a empty repo (and removed a reference to
another maven repo that
went down), and just kicked its publishing (it is deploying as I write).

I'll check if there if we have anything for GWC tomorrow, if not, I'll make
a manual release.

The draft blog posts for the GeoTools and GeoServer release are already up
in the respective
blog platforms, in case anyone wants to improve them.

Hi,
so I’ve moved on with the GWC release, but I cannot deploy, no rights to publish on
the new repo (I had them on the old one).

In the meantime I’ll tag and upload to sourceforge… but no GWC deploy means on
GeoServer release

Jody, no clue... the release build is something I did not touch, for
geowebcache
I also just went for the build instructions, so no idea why this happened,
but it
seems to be related to the last repo storm...

Thanks Andrea, I am going through all the ares build jobs and pom.xml settings and double checking everything (and sending pull requests out to projects that did not make the switch):

  • GeoTools is supposed to deploy releases to OSGeo webdav
  • Collecting up all the problem reports now, starting to suspect the “new” GeoTools SNAPSHOTS (even though they are getting published) are causing problems downstream.

I checked again the Jenkins logs, it contains a succesful deploy to OSGeo,
what I was not
aware of is that the release job also publishes to Boundless repo, and
fails there:

mvn clean -P deploy.boundless deploy -DskipTests -Dall

It's apparently something we have done for a long time:

The thing is, if the script does not complete, it does not upload to SF nor
it tags.

GeoWebCache is not even trying to publish to OSGeo instead... I'll need
deploy credentials
to complete that:

I saw the profile deploy.boundless in the pom.xml (and updated it). I was not sure if it was being used or not.

I will check your credentials for manual deploy of geowebcache (I also had private credentials to deploy geotools dependencies previously).

I checked again the Jenkins logs, it contains a succesful deploy to OSGeo, what I was not
aware of is that the release job also publishes to Boundless repo, and fails there:

mvn clean -P deploy.boundless deploy -DskipTests -Dall

It’s apparently something we have done for a long time:

The thing is, if the script does not complete, it does not upload to SF nor it tags.

GeoWebCache is not even trying to publish to OSGeo instead… I’ll need deploy credentials
to complete that:
