VirtualCoverage is a good name. I would add NDVI into the Future evolution section with a nice image and prepare for implementing it, it will have great worldwide usage potential when done http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normalized_Difference_Vegetation_Index

I can see the usefulness, though for my kind of use, it would need raster calculations, but hey, first steps.
