just a heads up, in GeoSolutions we are looking at options to take over at least
part of this, maybe in combination with the CITE tests work.

Hi Jody,
whatever solution we choose, the server shall be accessible to the PSC and the names should be owned by OSGEO even though anyone in the PSC should have access to it.
No more one-company-have-superpowers :wink:

Of course on the accessible by PSC, I assume you mean the build.geoserver.org domain name should be owned by OSGeo? That is one of the activities I opened a trac ticket for.

While GeoCat can provide hardware (as a member of the GeoServer community) the GeoServer PSC will need to arrange setup, configuration etc…

I think Alessandro, who is working on the CITE testing thing, will provide a proposal for the build server, including which hardware to choose.

I am also thinking if the snapshot repo should be close to build server for efficiency.

I am glad there are options, and a bit of time, to solve this.
