[Geoserver-devel] GWC master now 1.6-SNAPSHOT, but GS master using GWC 1.5-SNAPSHOT

I notice that GeoWebCache master is now 1.6-SNAPSHOT, but GeoServer master is currently using GWC 1.5-SNAPSHOT. Is this intended, or should GeoServer be tracking GWC master?

GWC stable is 1.3-SNAPSHOT.

Kind regards,

Hang out on 1.5-SNAPSHOT for a bit, thus far there has been no changes. I expect a bit of variability with a jobmanager pull request, but it should not effect the API.

There are dependency issues:

(1) OpenGeo Hudson geowebcache-master is building 1.6-SNAPHOT

(2) OpenGeo Hudson geowebcache-stable is building 1.3-SNAPHOT

AFAIK no OpenGeo Hudson is building GeoWebCache master; the local repo on Hudson and the deployed builds are probably the last 1.5-SNAPSHOT built from GeoWebCache master. As a consequence, we are probably shipping nightlies with a stale GeoWebCache 1.5-SNAPSHOT. In my view, we should either establish a geowebcache-1.5.x build on OpenGeo Hudson or move GeoServer to GeoWebCache 1.6-SNAPSHOT. Justin?

Kevin, please give us a heads-up if you change the version of GeoWebCache master! Also, do you plan to keep stable on 1.3-SNAPSHOT?

Kind regards,
Ben.

Ok I think this is fixed now. There was an issue in the geowebcache-1.4.x-nightly job config that was throwing things off.

geowebcache-master → building + deploying 1.6.x
geowebcache-1.5.x → building + deploying 1.5.x

geowebcache-1.4.x → building + deploying 1.4.x

The geowebcache-stable job is disabled will be removed.
