Hi,
this morning I’ve merged a large-ish change, in both GT and GS, allowing for efficient band selection directly while reading the GeoTIFF files.
For hyperspecral data, having hundreds of bands, it makes for a couple of order of magnitude speedup.
We had, here and there, a few tests that were assuming the GeoTIFF reader was not able to perform such band selection, they started failing. So a change in GS was required too, which I’ve merged along with the GT change.
Now, I have everything on the green locally, but the build server is not happy. Maybe it’s just a transitory situation, but just in case, you know about it now.
It’s also important for new incoming PRs: if they end up mixing a new GeoTools, coming from the maven repos, along with an older GS codebase, before the updates, some tests will surely fail.
Cheers
Andrea
