Heh, sad.
About the docs, see my mail on the geotools devel list.
At the same time, docs have an issues similar to unit tests
(nothing enforces you to write them) but are worse in a sense
that apparently we still don't feel the pain of not having
a good organised documentation set.
Ok, I'm going to be a little crazy here: OpenOffice 2.0, master/detail documents, one per chapter, svn lock to avoid merge mess, and finally,
PDF export and multipage HTML export (yes, it's there, in file/send file, but allows just one level deep split, one master, many
childs). Why not?
About missing support for MacOSX, sadly nobody among us is a Mac
user, what can I do? Quick, somebody donate me a Mac and the time
to try out Geoserver on it :-p
Cheers

Oh, about Mac, want to know why they are not popular in Italy?
Well, let's see, the price of the less expensive mac mini here is
699€, which translates to 916$.
The very same machine in USA costs 599$. 300$ difference? Please
Apple, tell me, why don't you want us to buy your stuff? :-p
An iMac relatively similar to my PC (core duo, 2 gb ram, but with
no raid 0 disks) costs 2000€ here, I bought my PC with the XP pro
license and a 19" monitor two months ago for 1300€ .
The price difference is simply unbearable
Cheers
Andrea
I was thinking we could have one main page, geoserver.org, that contains the most basic docs that are very well organized. Then in that page contain a link to the persistently messy wiki.
The wiki has grown to be very big, which is some of our problem. And I think just reorganization will only get us so far.
The mac issue is the first I have heard in a while. I know we have some users with macs and they work fine. Anyone have a mac to spare for 30 minutes every release?
