[Geoserver-devel] How about prefixing our jar artifacts with "gs-" ?

Hi,
this thing has bothered me for some time now… when I look at the WEB-INF/lib
contents it’s easy to locate GeoTools jars, it’s easy to locate imageio-ext ones,
but the GeoServer ones are sprinkled here and there.

What people think of prefixing all our jars with the “gs-” prefix?
Makes it easier to locate the GeoServer own jars around

Cheers
Andrea

brings into line with geotools practise.

I am +0 on this one, but perhaps I do not have the experience in managing the libs directory of an active installation to appreciate this.

Would we need to change the maven dependency names? If so we should make a proper blog post for any downstream developers.

Yep, see the pull request.
The blog post is a good idea. Btw, I'd apply the pull request only to trunk
