Hi,
I inserted shape files in POSTGRESQL database. Now i want to display these inserted shape files in GEOSERVER.How i do?
Please It's urgent.
You have to do a WMS request. I suggest you go to start by going to the
map preview page, http:///localhost:8080/geoserver/mapPreview.do and
click on the layer.
Or just make a wms request in the browser:
Where <yourLayer> is the name of the layer you imported.

Subject: Re: [Geoserver-devel] I am new in GEOSERVERHi Hemant,
Welcome to GeoServer. So just so I understand your use case you have
some shapefiles that you would like to load into your postgis database?
This is easy, postgis comes with a command line tool called shp2pgsql
wihch does just that. Run the command with no arguments for its
synopsis
and a list of the options. But usually its just something like this
that
you want:shp2pgsql <shapefile> <table> | psql <database>
Hope that helps.
