I've just installed geoserver and I don't know how to test it.
I was trying to test using default bc_roads.shp but it does't work (after using shp2psql I got: "Null shape file" or sth. like that).
Or maybe any other easy way to test geoserver through webbrowser.
Help me please :).

try some urls like the following (making these docs is on my list ...)
http://office.refractions.net:8081/geoserver/wfs/GetCapabilities?
http://office.refractions.net:8081/geoserver/wms/GetCapabilities?
or any of the urls on either page.
