Hi everybody,
I'm working on a research project that needs a web service to log all the
interaction with slippy maps (e.g. our custom maps or even Google Maps,
Virtual Earth or Cloudmade) such as clicks, mouse movements, pan, zoom, etc.
We've decided to use GeoServer because it looks like a great platform to
perform web-oriented geocomputation and it seems ideal to set up and expose
geo-web services.
Typical user session:
web geo-client interacts with map --> ajax --> log map interaction -->
server analysis --> return personalised content to client
I have 2 questions for you guys:
1) what's a possible set-up for such a logger web-service in geoserver? I
couldn't find any tutorials/guide on this topic.
2) Is it possible to use Groovy on top of a geoserver service? We really
like groovy so we're trying to use it in our platform to be more productive.
Many thanks for any hints, comments and advice!
