[Geoserver-devel] introduction/commit access

Hi All,

I'm Alyssa, new member of the opengeo team. Recent graduate. . . still learning my way around things, but you know, coming along. Either way, I've been working on updating the geoserver documentation for 2.0. I'd like to be able to get commit access so that others can review. I've made a Jira ticket and attached the source of the section I've been writing--the web admin section.

http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3266

Please let me know if there are any questions or concerns. I'm still editing this section, so this is hardly the final draft, but hopefully its an improvement on the current status.

Best,
Alyssa.

Hi Alyssa,

Welcome :). I looked through the doc sources you attached to the issue below and they looks really good, I did not go over it too closely but there definitely seems to be lots of material there, you have obviously been working hard.

As for getting you doc commit access, the steps outlined to get commit access are here:

http://docs.geoserver.org/trunk/developer/policies/comitting.html

Although at the moment it seems that server is down. But basically you need to set up a codehaus account, http://xircles.codehaus.org/, and then apply to join the geoserver project as a developer. Then let one of us know and we can ok the request, then you can commit.

Thanks for the contribution!!

-Justin

Thanks Justin,

I applied to join as a developer. As the directions say, I'm waiting for a project despot to review.

Looking forward to it.

Alyssa.

Done.

I also note an id "OpenPlans waiting for review - since we tend to
work with people not organizations can I reject that one?"

Ha, sorry, this was me. I created a test account for testing out the application process (and to generate some screen shots) and called it openplans. Yes you can reject it.
