[Geoserver-devel] Issue on sourceforge, the site says the latest release is 2.2.2

Hi,
have a look at this page:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/geoserver/files/GeoServer/2.2.4/
or even just at the home page:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/geoserver

Both pages state the latest release is 2.2.2. Don't know why, or how to control
that.

Anybody has a clue?

Cheers
Andrea

Wikipedia is also out of date a couple of days ago. The version was 2.2.x; I updated it to 2.2.3 but not the release date.
I’ve updated it with 2.2.4 and the release date.

Updating wikipedia is not part of the release procedures, don't know
how keeps that page up to
date, not someone from the GeoServer team as far as I know.

Thanks for updating the page

Yeah, this is annoying. Unless you set the artifacts up to the the default for certain operating systems. Set the exe for windows, dmg for mac, .zip for linux, and .war for all others is what I usually do.

Unfortunately its a manual process. Just go to sourceforge and navigate to the artifacts and you’ll see the OS check boxes.

Ah, I did that this morning, but the result was not evident right away.
SF has updated the "latest" in the meantime though.

Good to know!

The power of the crowd! I've updated it a few times, when I go there and
see it's out of date. I think it gets updated with enough eyeballs, since
anyone can update it. I'd say it's not worth adding to the release process,
since we have so many steps anyways.

Thanks for updating the page
