now we have also prepared the GeoServer counterpart proposal as GSIP.
To summarize, our aim is to integrate JAI-EXT into GeoTools and GeoServer in
order to replace the majority of the JAI operations with the JAI-EXT ones.
These new operations will add support for ROI and NoData on raster
processing.
