superoverlays break at high zoom levels
---------------------------------------
Key: GEOS-1247
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-1247
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Google Earth KML Output
Affects Versions: 1.5.1
Reporter: Chris Holmes
Assignee: Justin Deoliveira
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 1.5.2, 1.6.0-beta3
Super overlays seem to be working reasonably well, except when you zoom way in. Like to the level of being able to make out cars or so. Looking at the geoserver logs it says that the client is aborting, but Google Earth is then reporting an error from the server. So not sure who is right... Maybe the WMS call for the image in the KML is somehow off, while the KML call is correct. I got this behavior with a big tiff that I added and with the default states shapefile. Just keep zooming in, and then you get a ton of errors.
It's ok if this doesn't get in for 1.5.2. We can mark superoverlays as 'beta' for this release. There are a few other annoyances with superoverlays. But if we can get to some of them that's great.
