Description:
This is basically the last piece we need to be able to completely diagnose geoserver errors over the web. The verbose exceptions was a nice start, but it would be even more helpful if you could go to a page on the web admin tool and view the logs. Probably should put it in the admin section. Not quite sure how to implement, as there is not standard logging location. Which would be a good start - probably should combine this with the GEOSERVER_HOME stuff, one of the sub directories would be 'logs'. This may not work so well with the war installations, but we may be able to have even more control of the java logger, create a console logger that outputs to geoserver_home/logs.
