Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOS-283
Summary: Custom Schema requires load
Type: Bug
Status: Open
Priority: Minor
Original Estimate: Unknown
Time Spent: Unknown
Remaining: Unknown
Project: GeoServer
Versions:
1.2.4
Assignee: Chris Holmes
Reporter: Jody Garnett
Created: Tue, 8 Feb 2005 11:37 AM
Updated: Tue, 8 Feb 2005 11:37 AM
Environment: GeoServer 1.2.4, on Windows XP Pro w/ a Java 5 JRE and inlcuded Jetty servlet container.
Description:
1. Change the number field of topp:bc_roads test data to be a positive number (rather than just a number).
2. Hit Apply
3. Request the schema using the demo describe feature type request
Notice that the schema is not as expected.
3. Hit Save
4. Hit Load
Apparently now it works.
Solution have new schema file generated on Apply, and saved to a data structure (as it was in 1.2.0), or save to a deploy directory (note load will need to copy the schema.xml files to the deploy directory for consistency).
