Raster layers' output filename is GridCoverage.<extension>
----------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOS-3030
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3030
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.0-alpha2
Environment: Ubuntu Jaunty
Reporter: Tim Coulter
Assignee: Andrea Aime
It appears Geoserver outputs a filename of GridCoverage.<extension> for raster layers.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Run and install a fresh version of Geoserver.
2) Navigate to the Layer Preview page, and find a raster layer. I used sf:sfdem.
3) Download the layer in different output formats such as KML (plain), KML (compressed) and PDF. Notice that the filename for these output formats is GridCoverage.<extension>
Discussion:
1) For vector layers, it appears the output filename is <layername>.<extension>. Justin tells me raster layers output filename should be of the same form.
2) This behavior exists for other types of raster layers, such as the nurc:mosaic layer (png mosaic) and the nurc:Arc_Sample layer (ArcGrid).
