Creating a Oracle datastore (OCI or thin client) causes java.exe to logon and logoff database every 30 seconds
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOS-3251
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3251
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Oracle
Affects Versions: 1.7.5, 1.7.1, 1.6.2
Environment: Windows Server 2003
Reporter: Daniel Ossipoff Jensen
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Simply creating a datastore (no featuretypes added) causes logon's and logoff's on the database from java.exe every 30 seconds, even if no clients are using GeoServer.
It seems as though the connections timeout after 30 seconds and are restored by the connection pool manager, because if GeoServer is used intensively there are not quite as many logon's and logoff's. We came on to this by creating logon and logoff triggers, that logs the activity.
Is this behavior intended and if so is it possible to extend the timeout?
