HTTP Error 500 creating FeatureType on PostGis table inside a schema
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOS-367
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-367
Project: GeoServer
Type: Bug
Components: PostGIS
Versions: 1.3.0-beta3
Environment: linux RedHat Fedora Core (3?), PostGis 0.8.x, PostgreSQL 7.4.3, GeoServer 1.3.0 beta 3 (WCS branch)
Reporter: Bryce Nordgren
Assigned to: dblasby
Priority: Minor
This is kind of a bookmark for me to remember to get back to this problem. No extensive problem-solving has been performed due to the fact that I have a workaround and I'm crunched for time.
Here's the initial email sent to the geoser users list:
This may be a dumb question, but here goes:
I've got some basemap data in a PostGis 0.8.? database. They used to be shapefiles from http://www.nationalatlas.gov, but have been converted via shp2pgsql. The database is called "basemap", and the schema into which I loaded the shapefiles is called "na" (for national atlas).
GeoServer 1.3.0 beta3 (WCS branch) shows the availability of the tables, but does not indicate that they are members of the "na" schema. Any attempt to create a FeatureType from these tables generates an HTTP error 500:
