Feature Type disabled for ORACLE and PostgreSQL after TomCat restart
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOS-4009
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4009
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Oracle, PostGIS, Transactions/Locking, WFS
Affects Versions: 2.0.1
Environment: Windows 2003 Server
GeoServer 2.0.1
Reporter: Astrid Emde
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Hello GeoServer-devs,
we have a Problem with GeoServer 2.0.1 and ORACLE or PostgreSQL (i.e database connections).
1. We configured our feature types:
2. for the layer option: we checked enabled
3. the featureType was present in the getCapabilities-request and everything worked fine
The problem occurs after restart of the tomcat:
1. in the layer overview table the layer of our datastore appear with a
warning-triangle
2. the checkmark for the layer was still set
3. the featureType information did not show up in the
getCapbilities-Document
4. a getFeature-Request still provides results for the featureType
5. Transactions: update and insert does not work anymore
Workaround:
To activate the featureType we had to uncheck - save and check and save the layer again.
It looks like GeoServer does not read the startup information properly.
Or does not get the ok from the database while starting.
We did not check this behaviour with GeoServer 2.0.2 yet.
Do you have any idea?
