Removing layers removes wrong layer when you have multiple layers with the same name (different workspaces)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOS-4348
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4348
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.1-RC1
Environment: Cross platform although verified on a mac and windows
Reporter: Charles Galpin
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Start with a clean 2.1-RC1 install
Create a new workspace - I named mine sf2
Add a store to this workspace - I used the directory of shapefiles 'sf' and called it sf
Now publish a layer from this store - I published roads
If you list the layers you will now have sf:sf:roads and sf2:sf:roads
If you select the sf2:sf:roads one and click "Remove selected resources" you get a prompt for confirmation to delete "roads" (no store or namespace specified) as well as warning you the layer group spearfish will be affected (which sf2:sf:roads has no relation). click ok
You will find that sf:sf:roads was deleted instead, not sf2:sf:roads.
Similarily there are other related problems. I re-created sf:sf:roads and went and added it to the spearfish layer group, yet sf2:sf:roads got added instead.
