Google Earth 6 shows Big Red Cross
----------------------------------
Key: GEOS-4483
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4483
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Google Earth KML Output
Affects Versions: 2.1-RC4, 2.0.2
Environment: Geoserver 2.1-RC4
Google Earth 6.0.2.2074
Reporter: David Collins
Assignee: Andrea Aime
I have installed 2.1-RC4 on my Windows PC and tested with ..
Google Earth 5.2.1.1588
Google Earth 6.0.2.2074 (current default download version for Windows)
I am using a 'Network Link' like so, and setting kmscore to 0 (to send a .PNG image) and 100 (to send the data as KMZ)
http://dpi908194:8080/geoserver/wms/kml?layers=gsnsw%3AGBV_Site_G&kmscore=0&
With Google Earth 5, there is no problem.
With Google Earth 6.0.2.2074, a big red cross appears when an image is sent. It is fine when the data is sent as KMZ.
I thought that this was reported some time ago, but searching in JIRA for "Google Earth" or "GE", I cannot find a report for it. Apologies if there is already a report for this.
I have marked this as Major, because Google Earth 6 has been released for quite a long time now, so this would be a common version.
