Update CSS Styling Web Interface
--------------------------------
Key: GEOS-4767
URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4767
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Community modules
Affects Versions: Community
Environment: All environments
Reporter: David Collins
Assignee: David Winslow
Priority: Minor
Fix For: Community
A few suggestions to get the CSS Styling web interface more up-to-date ..
(won't be offended if you disagree with some of these)
1. Enable the assignment of the CSS style to a layer with the CSS Styling area
(currently this has to be done separately in the Layer Properties area)
2. Change the name 'Map CSS Demo' to 'CSS Styles' - then we have consistency - 'Styles' for SLD Styles (the default styling) and 'CSS Styles' for CSS Styles.
3. Remove the word 'Demo' from everywhere
4. 'This page demos styling of maps using a CSS-like syntax.'
-> 'Create and modify CSS styles and assign to existing data layers. This is an alternative to editing SLD styles.' [or something like that]
5. Can you create hover tips for 'Switch', 'Create', 'Submit' and any new link or button? I'm still not quite sure exactly what these do.
