[Geoserver-devel] [jira] Created: (GEOS-704) KML reprojection

KML reprojection
----------------

                 Key: GEOS-704
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-704
             Project: GeoServer
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 1.4.0-M0
            Reporter: Brent Owens
         Assigned To: Brent Owens
             Fix For: 1.4.0-RC0

Add reprojection to KML.
Might need to create a simple Decimator that does not decimate (remove close vertices from) geometries. KML isn't raster so we want to keep all points.

Can you let us know when you fix KML stuff on that branch? It's the main thing we're working to refine these days.

How aligned are the two right now? We commented out some of the code for coverages, and then redid some. Are they somewhat aligned now or just different? I want to be sure we don't end up fixing lots of stuff in multiple places, as it is Brent spent time on this when you already had done it - I'd like to avoid that as much as possible in the future. We'll just have him use your code directly, so you won't need to align for something you already did.

They are fully aligned, I use ever the trunk code as a base for patches, bug-fixes and new features.
