Description:
Many of the Jira tasks we are kicking around these days involve configuration - in fact almost any request for a new feature has a configuration element involved.

We really a developers guide on how to hack the config system:
Chris Holems: how can we extend the config file format
David Zwiers: how can we extend DTO/Global
Jody Garnett: how can we extend Config/Actions/JSP

This pretty much has to be done now, as several Jira tasks on the 1.2.0 timeline need depend on this knowledge. The alternative is passing these Task between us as the ripple through the system.

In fact that is a great idea on how to proceed:

So to start with: Chris Holems

Chris how can extend the config file format to support the Response stratagy? Could you please write a tutorial using this as an example?

When you are done assign this task to David, who will pass it on to me.

(This is estimated as a 2h for each of us - assuming I can find a spell checker).
