To reproduce this issue:

  • Set a layer access to be read by a logged user only.
  • Configure a time dimension on the layer.
  • Set Catalog security mode on CHALLENGE.
  • Log out from GeoServer and ask a WMS GetCapabilities request.
  • The layer is not shown on the GetCapabilities XML document due to an exception. The exceptions can be read on the GeoServer log.
