The NPE is triggered if layer type is null https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/blob/main/src/extension/geofence/src/main/java/org/geoserver/geofence/rest/xml/JaxbRule.java#L385, which is a condition that might be easily happen if the user do not specify it from the UI. |
