mvn compile always reports Changes detected - recompiling the module!. mvn -X compile reveals: [DEBUG] Stale source detected: src/main/src/main/java/org/geoserver/feature\retype/FidTransformerVisitor.java While the file reads as FidTransformerVisitor.java, the class itself is misspelled as FidTransformeVisitor. After renaming the class Up-to-date checking works fine again.
