While working on https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-10758 I’ve noticed that the default CRS URI and the EPSG CRS URI prefix and there usage is scattered around the whole OGCAPI plugin code base. For example there are:

  • many hard coded occurrences
  • multiple constant declarations in various plugin modules
  • duplicate functionality for deriving a CRS URI from a given GeoTools-CRS instance
  • …

To resolve this I propose a centralized CRSUtils within the ogcapi-core module, which would hold the OGCAPI CRS URI constants and related functionality.

I will provide a PR in the near future.
