When user requests data from GeoServer, proxy chaining is observed in the request headers.
Eg: x-forwarded-for: 1.1.1.1, 2.2.2.2 (original IPs masked).
By default, Brute Force Prevention is enabled in GeoServer and it uses the entire string from the x-forwarded-for request header to validate via Spring Security which contains two IPs. We’re getting the below error:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Failed to parse address1.1.1.1, 2.2.2.2

On disabling the Brute Force Prevention, it is working.
We observed the entire IP string from the request header is passed while the Spring Security methods expect a single IP for the hostname check.
Should GeoServer Brute Force Prevention take only the source IP (1.1.1.1) instead of considering the entire IPs string (1.1.1.1, 2.2.2.2) ?
