The current implementation of basic security filtering builds a logic filter whose components are proportional to the number of access rules. A data directory came to our attention with 40k security rules, which ends up generating a massive security filter that’s very slow to execute. An implementation based on an optimized “in” function should be able to do much better (using hash matching rather than an iteration with equality). |
