I haven’t tested to see the complete list of Mark types of a Graphic GeoServer can handle, but it certainly can’t do “lines”. (I suspect it only does those mandated in the Spec).

My improve/ment/wishlist item therefore is to duplicate in SLD 1.0 and 1.1 (the spec doesn’t appear to differ between them on this) the same additional types as QGIS offers. This includes the following <WellKnownName> elements that are beyond the spec:

pentagon
circle
arrowhead
arrow
regular_star
equilateral_triangle
