This is a bug reported at geoserver mailing list.

I attach the following:
- A shapefile with some points and a value attribute
- An SLD with the
BarnesSurface rendering tranformation
- An SLD chaining
BarnesSurface with the same parameters with a RasterAsPointCollection in order to get a fixed grid of 20 by 20 points.
- A render of the first SLD with the original points
- A render of the first and second SLD without being able to access the value.
My point is how to get the sampled value of the BarnesSurface in order to apply it to the symbol rules, for example on a graduated style.
