Description:

The data panel automatically computes min and max values, this is handy but it may take a very long time on large data sets, imho it should be done on demand, and warn the user that this might lock the entire GeoServer GUI for a long time (due to the config locks and the fact that the catalog is not thread safe) and there is no way to stop it.
We should probably consider just removing it…
