This one’s really annoying but hard to pin down which is why I’ve not reported it before.
Basically GeoServer has a bad habit of logging me out with “Sorry, your session timed out”, even when it shouldn’t.
Reasons it shouldn’t:
- I’ve set my “remember me” flag.
- I only logged in 30 seconds ago.
I can’t figure out what the exact cause is.
Two scenarious:
-
I’ve logged in and ticked “remember me”. I then get GeoServer to calcule a bounding box which takes 30 mins (GeoServer is using SDO_AGGR_MBR). When it is finished, any action results in “sorry your session timed out”. I’m sure it didn’t used to when I first hit the SDO_TUNE-not-working bug.
-
I log in, open a style for editing, open another browser tab/window, spend a few seconds in there, then go back to the style, hit submit and… timeout. I’ve had it be less than a minute between login and timeout doing this. It doesn’t always happen though.
I’ve had this happen in both Opera and FireFox.
