[Geoserver-devel] [jira] (GEOS-6168) Release src.xml does not exclude target

Ben Caradoc-Davies created BugGEOS-6168
Release src.xml does not exclude target

Issue Type:

BugBug

Affects Versions:

2.5-beta

Assignee:

Andrea Aime

Components:

Global

Created:

18/Nov/13 7:11 PM

Description:

Release src.xml does not exclude target directories, resulting a >200 MB src zip. Looks like this has been the case for years. See file sizes:
http://files.ivec.org/geoserver/geoserver-master/2013-11-19/

The culprit is the inclusion of target directories after a full build. I can see the exclude rules but they do not work, and I do not know what is wrong.

Assembly was performed with:

mvn -B -nsu assembly:attached

I suspect Boundless Jenkins builds source jars in a clean working directory, concealing this problem, and producing src zips of a reasonable size.
