We have a GIS mapping application that uses Geoserver for layer managment. We have configured LDAP and can successfully authenticate directly via Geoserver and via our mappoing application. However when you log into the mapping application using an LDAP non admin user account you are unable to see the tree hierachy of layer groups configured within the geoserver in the themes tab and are presented with a second authentication window as per the first attachment. However if you log into the mapping application with a geoserver admin account (i.e a geoserver user account binded to the ADMIN user group within geoserver) you can see the tree hierachy of layer groups configured within the geoserver. Could you please advise us or point us in the right direction as to what we may be missing in the Geoserver security configuration so that non admin LDAP users can see the geoserver layer groups and their associated layers exposed in the tree hierarchy of our map application? |
