This is using OL3 as a tester and the GeoServer from Suite 4.1

  • Create a LayerGroup using just the opengeo:countries Layer, and assign it to the opengeo Workspace.
  • Hit it with the attached OL3 page. Check the response headers: integrated GWC insists it isn’t a cache layer.
  • Make two changes: remove the opengeo portion of the WMS path in the OL3 example; change the LayerGroup to be in the global workspace.
  • Hit it again with the OL3 page, now GWC agrees it is a cache layer and records cache hits.
